A visit to United Kingdom is often synonymous with a decision to explore London, see Stonehenge, and enjoy a certain international flavor. Cornwall

Oxford and Cambridge are British institutions. The best and brightest minds of England, Scotland and Wales have been educated at these two institutions for, in the case of Oxford, over 800 years. Oxford is also more than just a university city – it’s a center for technological innovation and a fun, modern city, but the medieval feel permeates the atmosphere.

To understand many of England’s finest artists and their love of the pastoral, you only need to see Cambridge and the surrounding countryside, where green spreads out before you as far as the eye can see. In the city, Gothic architecture stands next to modern buildings, and the juxtaposition is something that a visitor can’t help but marvel at.

Many major cities have world-class theaters, and no visit to the United Kingdom is complete without seeing at least one play. Not a fan of Shakespeare? No problem—the British theater scene has been at the center of global theater for the last 50 years, and the best modern plays from all over the English-speaking world are often staged in the capital and elsewhere.
