Visit Warsaw

If you think of the great cities that are found in Poland, then Warsaw is likely at or near the top of the list. It’s one of the largest cities in Europe and the largest in Poland. It was once described as being the “Paris of the East.”

Today, it is often called the “Phoenix City” because of its ability to rise from the ashes of the war that thoroughly destroyed it.

Because the city was leveled in the 1940s, many of the historic collections within the city suffered losses. The ingenuity and creativity of Warsaw, however, has led to some fascinating opportunities. The Museum of Posters, for example, is the first of its kind and offers one of the largest collections of its type in the world today.

More than 60 museums in total are available to tour. The most prestigious is the National Museum, which has an extensive set of exhibitions that take visitors back to the times of antiquity within the region.

Be sure to visit the Carroll Porczynski Collection Museum, which contains the largest private collection of art in Poland.

You can also take advantage of the numerous facilities that are offered in Warsaw, including those at Wodny Park. Water slides, children’s areas, and an Olympic-sized pool are open to the public on a frequent basis.

Several events are held annually in Warsaw, including Wianki, which is a wreath festival that is based on ancient rituals.

Warsaw is beautiful. It is warm and welcoming. There is just one question to ask: why haven’t you taken the time to visit it yet?
