What to see and do in Podgora ?

The beautiful beach at Podgora is right at the foot of the resort and features some of the clearest, still waters that can be found – ideal for even the most hesitant swimmers. Its white-pebbled shore has all the facilities one would expect of a major resort, as well as an array of water-sports activities for the more energetically minded! Classical music and dramatic plays can be experienced in the village square during the warm evenings, perfect for a romantic nighttime stroll.

Podgora is primarily a relaxed resort – but the traditional folk dancing, classical music and dramatic performances in the village square lend it a lively air throughout the summer months. Sites of historic importance abound in the area but the Roscici hill tower, All Saints Church and the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus built in the late 18th century, all bear a special mention.

The Biokovo National Park surrounds the resort, and its terrain is ideal for walkers and hikers of all stripes – the scenery is truly stunning. Bike riders and climbing enthusiasts will also find their desires met by this picturesque landscape, while keen sports players might enjoy Podgora’s four modern tennis courts and water-polo facilities.
