Located in central Croatia, the hills of Moslavina come alive with a visit to Kutina. First mentioned in the 13th century, this community is a hard-working industrial center that puts you close to some of the best inland natural wonders that this nation offers.
Come here and you’ll be able to explore the Lonjskio Polke Nature Park, the Baroque Church of Saint Mary of the Snow, several Trijems, and the Medieval burgs that can be found throughout the hills of Moslavina.
Lonjsko Polje is the largest protected wetland that is part of the Danube basin. It covers over 500 square kilometers and is an excellent place to go birdwatching. While out on a hike, it is not unusual to run into a herd of horses in the meadows. It is a place of quiet that you can explore at your leisure.

What to see and do in Kutina ?
Crkva Sv. Marije Snjezne
The oldest record of the construction of the church is from 1729, the interior is one of the most beautiful Baroque church interiors with walls and ceilings adorned with rich stucco and frescoes and sumptuous wooden altar that dominates the space.
Elementary School
The school building is over 200 years old, dating from the period of historicism. It was named after Mato Lovrak, famous Croatian children’s author who had his first job there.
The Porches of Moslavina
There is a unique ensemble of five houses of traditional wooden architecture in Church Street. Three porches and two one-storey wooden houses built of oak beams and planks in a manner characteristic of the traditional architecture of this region in late 19th and early 20th centuries. The most common names for them are trijem (porch), čardak (wooden house), hiža or iža.
Moslavina Museum
A former manor of noblemen with its authentic decoration evokes the atmosphere and way of life of this region, the most important historical periods and discoveries in this area.
Gallery of Moslavina Museum
It is located in the pseudo-style Ausch family home. The important works of Croatian artists make up an extremely valuable permanent exhibition of the gallery.
Wine Court
It is located in the basement of the Cultural Center, and was opened in 2002 as a venue for various activities related to wine and wine culture. It is special and unique in Croatia, and symbolizes Kutina as the largest town of wine-growing Moslavina. The Wine Court is managed by “Lujo Miklaužić” Kutina, the association of Moslavina winegrowers and fruit growers, and the main activities are wine tastings, wine promotion and the most important is wine exhibition, which since 2002 is regularly held in this space at the end of May.

When is the best time to travel ? The best time to visit Kutina, Croatia is May, June, September and October. The weather in these months are very nice. July and August are peak season with peak prices and furthermore it can be very hot, especially in the afternoon.
