Located just a quick day trip from Zagreb, the small town of Ivanic-Grad historically served as a bastion city between the Ottomans and Croatia. It was never breached, even when the Turks were pushing ever westward, allowing the community to keep an authentic cultural identity that makes for an interesting destination today.
