About the hotel
The hotel is located about 6 kilometers from the center of Hamburg on the beautiful Elbchaussee. There is a special atmosphere along the river Elbe which is good for a walk where you can find small beaches, piers and cozy cafes. Not far from the hotel is the terminal from where you can take a water bus to Hamburg Altstadt, this journey takes about 40 minutes.
The hotel consists of two villa-style low-rise buildings that span the Elbchaussee, the buildings are connected by an underground tunnel, which is arranged as a kind of gallery with glass showcases and slate floors.
The rooms and suites of the hotel are elegantly decorated in a mix of modern colonial antique furniture, polished oak floors and beautiful hand-woven rugs.
The hotel has a well-known interior of Jacob’s Restaurant with two Michelin stars in a fantastically elegant atmosphere with crystal chandeliers and stucco ceilings. The restaurant is also worth a visit alone due to the fantastic views of the Elbe from the famous terrace.
The hotel’s second restaurant, Kleines Jacob, also has a good menu with lots of seafood dishes, local dishes and the best wines from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The nearest interesting larger cities are Hamburg, Lübeck and Bremen
