Buzet is one of those communities that is overlooked by visitors because it seems like it has nothing much to offer. The town may be laidback and quiet, but there is an incredible history to explore within this charming community. It was first settled by the Romans, and then achieved greatness under the Venetians.
The town was given full defensive structures, including walls and gates. Churches were added to the community. Over time, everyone settled away from the Old Town, leaving the cobblestone streets to echo the stories of the past to whomever was brave enough to come along.
